As the global population ages, older adults face challenges like financial insecurity, health issues, and a lost sense of purpose. In Uganda, the elderly population is growing rapidly, with those aged 60+ expected to reach 5.5 million by 2050. Today and Beyond is committed to helping older women age with dignity and purpose. The Golden Women’s Retreat brings older women together to share, learn, reconnect, and be renewed. 

The event fosters a positive outlook, encourages social connections, and provides opportunities to learn new skills and share life experiences. It aims to alleviate loneliness and despair by offering practical coping mechanisms and a renewed sense of purpose. The retreat features tailored activities, including socialization, mind and body stimulation, and learning sessions. Topics include Health and Wellness, Estates and Will Writing, Relationships, Financial Management, Digital Skills, Entrepreneurship, and Counseling, led by expert speakers.
